Esteem Health provides modern therapy techniques and resources to individuals covered by Medi-Cal, specifically targeting parents and their children. The platform offers a range of benefits, making mental health care accessible to people from all socioeconomic backgrounds, particularly low-income families. The goal was to create a user-friendly, informational website that is both kid-friendly and appealing to parents. The program is designed to be easily accessible without the need for referrals, preauthorization, co-pays, and is completely free. Two design variations were presented with a mobile-first approach to cater to the primary audience, who may not have access to computers.

There were several challenges to address in this project. Ensuring the website was both kid-friendly and appealing to parents required a delicate balance in design and content. Creating a user-friendly interface that conveyed comprehensive information without overwhelming the users was crucial. Additionally, designing with a mobile-first approach presented technical challenges to ensure a seamless and intuitive user experience across various mobile devices. Finally, standing out from competitors in a crowded market required innovative design solutions and clear, compelling communication of the program’s unique benefits.
